Dish with Palmettes Encircling a Central Calligraphic Motif, AKM742, The Aga Khan Museum

Dish, the centre is a small red band with a simple white Kufic inscription, a repetition of the name of God, “Allah”. Above and below it are identical leaf designs in dark brown and green. The central motif is circled by a red braid.
